It's been a good run on dA, but sadly, I'm going to be leaving deviantART.. Something happened earlier this year that I couldn't even imagine me doing. I became a successful entrepreneur. So successful that in a few hours, I'm going to get interviewed by a news station about the business I founded. I thought about the idea about being an entrepreneur December of last year. I thought to myself, "I bet I can do his job and I can do it better while charging a cheaper rate". The business is an unusual job, it isn't something you see everyday, and this caught someone's attention I guess. With over 100 recurring customer accounts so far in only 5 months, I know my business is going to take me far, where being an illustrator would never take me. Business is doing so well that I'm going to start hiring folks by the end of the year.
You know, I always wanted to be an artist. I loved drawing anime, furry, etc. I'm not going to stop. I'll make a new dA and tell you guys about it in a few weeks. Let's just say, it's all going to be furry related a long with some free comics I'm going to be posting up on a personal website. I know it's all a sudden change, but truthfully, there's no way I'd be able to make a living as an illustrator. I know the whole "Don't do it for the money" but you know, you have to. You spend all your life drawing and it doesn't give you anything in return. There's only a small percentage of artists that make a living, and even they have second jobs. The good thing about being a business owner is that I'm my own boss, no one tells me what to do, I can only make as much money as I want, and take my business as far as I want. I can draw all day everyday and not have to worry about being financially unstable. It required a lot of capital to start my business, ya, I sold all of my personal belongings and antiques and motorcycles, motor bicycles, etc. It was worth it.
Anyway, if you want any advice on being an entrepreneur, want to know the business I started(I can't put it here), or anything art related, send me a note. I'll be back on dA when I come up of an ingenious name for the account
